Josh Hayden生在曼哈顿一个音乐世家，自幼从父亲那里学习了很多贝司技巧。93年在Spain组建之前Josh玩了一段时间Punk，但当他逐渐意识到更多的感召来自敏感脆弱的思绪而更甚于怒火时，便开始用缓和的方式来配合自己悲伤的歌词，此时他的唱法也开始变得更加清澈。1995年，Spain在Restless Records发表了第一张专辑《The Blue Moods of Spain》。（文/murk）
